How To Make Spicy Cinnamon Flavored Toothpicks with Essential Oils

Spicy Cinnamon Toothpicks Recipe

This is a wonderful recipe for the winter months and during the holidays.

The warm, spicy aroma of cinnamon has been sought throughout the ages both as a valuable commodity and for its ability to improve wellness. Young Living Therapeutic Grade™ cinnamon bark is meticulously tested to ensure that no dilution from similar-smelling oils has occurred. Cinnamon is thought to promote healthy cardiovascular and immune function, and acts as an antiseptic.

How To Make the Cinnamon Toothpicks

Using a cookie sheet, put about 10 drops (for 100 toothpicks) of Young Living cinnamon bark essential oil on the cookie sheet. You make want to wrap your index finger in some plastic wrap for this part to minimize getting too much essential oil on your fingers.

Next, space the toothpicks evenly over the tray and let them sit overnight.

You can package the toothpicks in a festive little tin box. These make unique gifts too!

Tip: if any essential oil gets on your finger while spreading the essential oil on the tray be sure to avoid touching your eyes or nose. Wash hands thoroughly afterwards. If any essential oil does come into contact with your eyes use a drop or two of your carrier oil to dilute -do NOT use water to flush the eye as this will only make it feel worse.

You can also use your Young Living cinnamon essential oil to enhance your cooking, or dilute with a carrier oil, such as V-6 Massage Oil and massage into chakras to create a soothing, relaxing sensation.

Other Ways to Use Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil

Dietary – when using cinnamon bark as a supplement, dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid such as soy or rice milk.

Young Living Therapeutic Grade™ cinnamon bark essential oil (Cinnamomum verum)

*Cautions: Possible skin sensitivity, because this is a ‘hot’ (spicy) essential oil always dilute before applying to the skin or taking internally. Not intended for use with infants or children (it’s too spicy for their little bodies). If pregnant or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Keep out of reach of children.
