What I like most about this recipe, and the others featured on this site, is that by using Young Living Essential Oils and other high quality ingredients I know I’m getting something wholesome for my body – so important in today’s world of questionable ingredients. Plus, making my own also means I am saving money over store-bought products.
DIY Muscle Rub Recipe
What you will need:
- ½ cup shea butter
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- 1 tsp ginger root powder
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 10 drops eucalyptus globulus essential oil
- 4 drops Stress Away essential oil blend
Directions:
Melt the coconut oil and shea butter in a double boiler. Once melted, mix in the ginger and cayenne powder. After the ingredients are thoroughly mixed, remove from the heat and add the drops of essential oil. Stir, transfer to a jar, and place in the fridge to cool.
Rub on muscles and joints before and after a workout or other strenuous activity as needed!
