Creating eye-catching displays with your Young Living products requires having product and oils featured as well as having a few key pieces that showcase our wonderful oils and products.
Typically, right colored tablecloth will reflect and enhance the items being featured. Generally speaking, I have found a lighter colored tablecloth shows off the products nicely. Purple is another good choice as it represents a spiritual, healing feeling.
The other thing that you need to think about is how are you going to create height? If you simply have product spaced out on your display table, even if it’s done so beautifully, it will still be difficult for people to notice at a distance of even ten feet away. The remedy for that is to have two or three things at equal or different heights.
Times when you would decide to have two things at the same height would be when they are the exactly or close-enough to the same density or size, these you would place on each back end of the table. They kind of act as pillars, or a kind of foundation to draw the viewers eye towards your display, while the lower center area of your table you have pretty groupings of related products as these are most pleasing to the eye and attract the most attention for those who come in closer to take a look. Making groupings of products puts out a message that they belong together and/or are used in combination, for instance: let’s say you were featuring the ART skin care products, you would want to group them together and remember to leave plenty of white space between your groupings as this makes it much easier for people to see the products, it is not necessary to have one of everything on display, just a nice sampling to give folks the idea.
Creating Eye-Catching Displays at Your Young Living Events
Below is an example of a very large (3 eight foot long tables pushed together) display for a larger Young Living event that I did years ago (you can tell by the old bottle designs of NingXia Red and Balance Complete).
Note at the far left end of the table is a wooden Lap Table / Bed Tray, which was purchased at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Atop the bed tray is a laptop computer which has a Young Living DVD / video playing constantly.
Additionally, there are lifestyle groupings, for instance – all of the personal care products are grouped, kids products are grouped, same for the essential oils, dental care, supplements, and two oil collections.
Very important is the white space, or blank empty spaces, between the groupings. People need to see blank space between things to absorb more completely what their eyes are taking in. Likewise they also need empty space to rest their hands, notebooks, or purse so these empty spaces is something you do out of consideration for their needs as well, this is particularly important if the event is large and runs all day, people get tired and it’s nice to have a place to unburden a hand or shoulder.
The other thing you must expect is that people are and will lean on your tables, so make sure they are of good quality and heavy enough to support someone who might lean on them.
A little side note: the empty space on your table will also provide space for you to work also. You will need to have space where you can place items while talking, writing, taking orders and signing up people, or looking something up in a book.
While the products you display will no doubt differ, the principles for good design in displays remain the same.
These next two photo’s are an example of a very small table, 6 foot long. You can see how the empty spaces are much smaller between the lifestyle groupings but they are still present. This lack of table space and empty area works fine at smaller gatherings and events.
This display shows a purple tablecloth, a standing floor banner to the right, and how various heights are used to create separation and interest.
Tabletop Banners for Your Event Displays
The top two are the “Head to Toe“ tabletop banners. The bottom two are VitaFlex and toxic chemicals and essential oil solutions, these are four popular themes for Young Living presentations and event set-up’s.
These four banners come assembled on a Deluxe Retractable banner stand for easy setup and take down. The size of each tabletop banner is 12″ wide x 17″ high (not including the stand) so it’s a nice size that brings height to your display and well as being a conversation starter.
Standing Floor Banners
As you saw in the image above, with the standing floor banner to the right, these banners are life-sized and can be seen from a distance.
The standing floor banners include a Deluxe Roll Up banner stand for easy setup and take down, and a black carrying case for travel. The banner image is printed in 300dpi High Resolution for the most pristine sharp quality.
Standing Floor Banners are: 31 inches wide x 78 inches high
Handout Cards for Your Essential Oil Events
Handout cards are informational and great for handing out at events, or at any time you are out and about. There is room for you to stick a label with your personal information too.
Handout Cards are 5″ x 7″, full color, doubled sided glossy! The card stock is thick unlike other handout cards.
The last piece of advice I can share with you is that when you’re doing events, expos, or shows, it is important to be standing since people will feel that they are imposing upon your rest-time if you are sitting when they approach. Standing signifies that you are alert and there to assist people with any questions they might have and to take orders.
